The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a nationally protected landscape that covers over a quarter of the county, offering some stunning networks of footpaths, byways and bridleways to explore like Box Hill and Frensham Ponds.

The Silent Pool in Albury is one of the area’s best-kept secrets. Located a few miles south of Guildford, this spring-fed lake is the perfect spot for a peaceful picnic.

Thanks to an abundance of venues that are jam-packed with activities, you’re never too far from something to do in the local area. The county has a handful of popular family-friendly attractions on its doorstep, including Go Ape, Skywalk Adventure, Birdworld and Hampton Court Palace. It’s also home to some of the most renowned racetracks and golf courses in Britain which host famous events such as Glorious Goodwood each year.
